New Volunteer Orientation

Calling all new volunteers! In our Volunteer Orientation, we will go through all of our rules and expectations for our volunteers, as well animal handling procedures. 

 

This orientation is approximately 2 hours long, and you must stay for the entire time, or else you will need to go through orientation again. 

 

After signing up for this orientation, be sure to click on the "New Volunteer Orientation" PayPal link on the volunteer page of our website to pay for your orientation. Orientation is $15 and it covers the cost of your orientation as well as your T-Shirt that you are required to wear for all shifts. 

 

We allow a maximum of 20 people for each orientation. If one orientation is full, please go to the following month. We will hold orientation once per month, typically on the last Saturday. If you sign up for orientation but cannot make it, please remember to take your name off the registration so another volunteer can take your place. We will be running waitlist for orientations. 

 

Please plan to arrive to orientation 10-15 minutes early to sign in and get seated, so we can start right on time at 9AM. We also ask that you wear closed toed shoes while here at the shelter, preferably non slip. 

 

One last thing, fun is encouraged! This is a great place to be, and you will be making a difference each time you step through these doors. We look forward to meeting you!
